How to add the assistant

The winter drive can be connected to an AI assistant: ChatGPT, Claude, or anything else that supports a hosted assistant. Once it's connected, you can say things like "add a beanie for $8 with a goal of 300", "record a $75 cash coat from Moshe", or "export the donations" and it will do it for you.

Only people on the admin list can connect. When the assistant asks you to sign in, use the same email and password you use for the admin. If you're not an admin, the connection will be refused.

Connect it in three steps

    Copy the address

    This is the one piece of information you'll need to paste into your assistant.

    Add it to your assistant

    Pick the app you're using and follow its steps.

    On the web: open ChatGPT, click your name at the bottom left, then Settings → Apps and connectors → Add. Choose Launch a custom connector, paste the address above, and press Create.

    On the phone: open the side menu, tap Connectors, then Add connector → Custom, and paste the address.

    ChatGPT will ask you to sign in. See step 3.

    Sign in and approve

    Your assistant will open a browser window for this site. Sign in with your admin email and password, then press Approve on the "Connect … to your account" screen.

    That's it. Go back to your assistant and ask it something, like "how much have we raised?".

What it can do

Items and bundles

Add, change, hide or remove them: names, prices, goals, photos, and what's inside a bundle.

Donations

Look them up, change or delete them, and record cash or check donations.

Exports

Turn any list into a spreadsheet file you can download.

Numbers

How much has been raised, and how close each goal is.

Site wording

Change the headline, the banner picture and the contact details.

Emails

Send a message to someone, and see what has been sent.

Admins

See who has access, and add or remove someone.

If it doesn't work

It says you're not allowed. Your email isn't on the admin list. Ask an admin to add you in the admin under Settings → Admins.

The sign-in window never appears. Copy the address again and make sure it ends in /mcp, and that it's the live site address, not an editing preview.

It connected but the tools are missing. Turn the connector off and on again, or remove it and add it once more. Assistants keep an old copy of the tool list.
